Why Cyber Monday in Chile is a Golden Opportunity

According to the Cámara de Comercio de Santiago, sales during CyberDay (the June edition) reached a remarkable $200 million on its first day. By midnight on Monday, over 1.9 million transactions had been completed. This marked the most significant day of the year for e-commerce in Chile.

In terms of discounts, a report by the specialized audit firm RetailCompass showed an average price drop of around 22%. This was based on a sample of 42 participating websites and marketplaces, with over 200,000 products offered.

The product categories with the biggest discounts were clothing, footwear, and accessories, with an average reduction of 27%. This was followed by home goods at 26%, kids’ products at 25%, and sports & outdoors, books, music, and movies at 24%.

Cyber Monday 2024 exceeded all expectations, achieving a record-breaking $447 million in sales over the three-day event. This event, organized by the Cámara de Comercio de Santiago, marked a 6.9% increase compared to the previous year.
